Rock The Block: 150 Volunteers, 14 Projects, 38 People Impacted
We recently completed our second Neighborhood Revitalization event in Woodland Heights during Rock the Block on September 29, 2016. During the event, 100+ volunteers from CoxHealth & Thrivent Financial/Greater Ozarks Associates – Thrivent Financial cleaned up Jefferson Ave. in the Woodland Heights Neighborhood. During Rock the Block, we completed 17 projects that impacted 38 residents in Woodland Heights in only 8 hours.

Through Neighborhood Revitalization, Woodland Heights residents, in partnership with Habitat and other community organizations, will set goals based on community assets, address community priorities to revive their neighborhood and enhance their quality of life. They have joined area nonprofits, businesses, churches and the local government to discover what is most needed in the neighborhood and help implement a shared vision of revitalization.
