IRA Donations
If you are at least 70.5 years old, you can use a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA to support your neighbors in need of affordable housing. After reaching 73, a QCD may begin to count towards fulfilling your required minimum distribution.
Donor-Advised Funds
Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are a smart way to manage your philanthropy. DAFs are created by transferring a variety of assets to a commercial or community DAF provider, which may provide tax relief. Over time, you can recommend grants to charities at a cadence of your choosing.
