Why Ted & Leslie Donate:
“We have been fortunate in life, we have good educations and good jobs, we saved and invested and more often than not, life’s challenges and events fell our way. Fortunately, what it takes to make us happy is pretty small potatoes compared to most people.
Giving to Habitat for Humanity on a monthly basis is a natural way for us to pay it forward. We don’t even miss the money. We really like the idea of contributing to creating affordable housing for people who haven’t had all the advantages that we have had.
The Habitat program is well-rounded so that the people building their homes also get classes in home maintenance, home repair, and personal finance. We enjoy supporting Habitat so much that besides the monthly contributions we also donate to some special events during the year.”
