Women Build 2026 Begins with our Kickoff Luncheon

Women Build 2026 kicks off with a celebratory luncheon on Tuesday, December 9th from 11:30am until 1:00pm at The Barley House at Moon Town Crossing. It's is a powerful gathering of community members, partners, and volunteers united by a shared commitment to affordable housing. Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch, inspiring program featuring a guest speaker and emcee, and opportunities to explore vendor booths. We’ll recognize this year’s incredible sponsors and express heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed their time, resources, and energy to the 2025 Women Build project. Join us as we celebrate the progress made and the meaningful impact we’ll continue to build together.

Volunteering to build the 2026 Women Build home in our Legacy Trails neighborhood will begin in the Spring of 2026. Teams will work directly with our volunteer coordinator to schedule.

Women Build is more than building a house—it’s about building a movement right here in Springfield. Together, women from all walks of life come together to lead the way in addressing our local housing crisis, break down barriers, and create a more equitable future for everyone.

At Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri, we believe in the strength and leadership of women. Women Build empowers women-led teams to step up, swing a hammer, and make a lasting impact by helping build safe, affordable homes for families in our community. We are proud to be partnering with many companies in our own community in support of this effort!

This year, we’re rallying to fully fund and build a home by women, for a local family. The future homeowners are a young couple raising three small girls—this home will be the foundation for stability, growth, and generational change. A safe and affordable home means the children will have room to play, space to study, and a secure place to grow up. It means their parents can focus on building a future instead of struggling with housing insecurity. The total cost to build this home is $185,000, and every dollar raised brings us closer to handing them the keys to a brighter future. Together, we can make this dream a reality—one nail, one wall, one empowered woman at a time.
