Habitat for Humanity of Springfield believes that every member of our community should have access to housing that is safe, decent, and affordable. The Tools for Life classes ensure that a wide cross-section of the community can benefit from the program, whether they need a home, are participating in the Habitat home repair program, want to improve their own home or neighborhood, or desire to gain financial stability or quality of life. Everyone is welcome to attend, free of charge.

Details: Think President Jimmy Carter started Habitat for Humanity? The true inspirational beginnings and diverse history of Habitat for Humanity will be explored with a showing of the video, “Briars In The Cottonpatch.” As a precaution, please note that some footage from the civil rights movement, included in this documentary, may be disturbing.
