Habitat selects partners based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner. Habitat’s program team reviews the application to ensure it is complete, then passes it along to the Habitat Selection Committee to determine eligibility. The Selection Committee is composed of board members, experts, and other dedicated volunteers, and all applications are presented respectfully. A home visit is conducted with the potential Partner Homebuyer. The Committee reviews again and makes an appropriate recommendation to the Board of Directors, who make the final decision on the application.
