Countless families are still in need of a home that is safe for their children. Many elderly neighbors’ homes are in extreme need of repair. Neighborhoods need more support than ever to improve and provide a better quality of life for their residents.

Support during this Raise the Roof Giving Opportunity will help parents like Samantha and her children, Chance and Charlie, rebuild their lives… because nothing could have prepared them for being forced out of their apartment.
Samantha and her children were living in an apartment complex when she got the devastating news that her rent was going up and she wouldn’t be able to afford the higher rate. She knew they would no longer have a place to live.
“I was looking at it and thinking, ‘I have no home to bring my children to,’ “That’s a real weight on my heart.”
Since leaving the apartment, Samantha’s family has relied on temporary shelter, shuttling between homes and staying with friends and family.
Now, thanks to gifts from friends like you, Samantha and her children were able to partner with Habitat to build a secure, affordable home where she can raise her children in safety.
