From High Rent to Homeownership: Ashley and Her Three Children Prepare to Celebrate Their New Home
Nearly one year after renovations began, a Springfield mother of three is preparing to celebrate a new beginning, thanks to Habitat for Humanity and the generosity of Amprod, ROOV, and GAF.
For Ashley, finding an affordable place to raise her three children hasn't been easy. Rising rental costs made it difficult to find the stability she wanted for her family. But on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, she'll celebrate a milestone she's worked toward for years: a home of her own.
At 4:00 p.m., Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri, will host a home dedication at 1219 N. Oak Park Dr. in Springfield, celebrating the completion of Ashley's newly rehabilitated home.
The celebration comes almost exactly one year after the renovation kickoff on October 24, 2025.
"I've had challenges with high rent and was looking for more stability for me and my three kids," Ashley shared at the original kickoff. "It's difficult for a single mom. I'm so grateful for Habitat, Amprod, and ROOV for the opportunity to own my own home."
Amprod's $50,000 Gift Helps Make Homeownership Possible
A major part of Ashley's journey has been the support of Amprod, LLC, a manufacturing company based in Strafford, Missouri.
Amprod contributed $50,000 toward the home's renovation, and company employees volunteered their time throughout the project.
"Habitat is all about building stronger communities and providing the stability and security that a home can provide," said Tiffani Claussen, President of Amprod, at the renovation kickoff. "And that's what we want to do with Amprod."
Two additional partners helped make the renovation possible. ROOV donated $4,208 in labor to install a new roof, while GAF provided $5,853 in roofing materials through its Community Contractor Program.
Together, the three companies contributed $60,061 in financial and in-kind support to help turn an existing house into an affordable home for Ashley and her children.
A New Chapter for Ashley's Family
Habitat for Humanity's home rehabilitation program gives existing houses a second life while creating opportunities for families to purchase safe, affordable homes.
For Ashley, the completed renovation means more than updated rooms and a new roof. It means a place where her children can grow, make memories, and enjoy the security of a home their family can call its own.
The October 27 dedication will bring together Ashley's family, Amprod, ROOV, GAF, Habitat volunteers, and community supporters to celebrate the completed home and the people who helped make it possible.

The community is invited to join the celebration on Tuesday, October 27, at 4:00 p.m. at 1219 N. Oak Park Dr. in Springfield.
