Volunteer Opportunities:
We have a couple of different experiences available for those interested in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Springfield. If you are signing up to volunteer for just yourself, please use follow the “individuals” link below to sign up directly for a volunteer shift. For step-by-step instructions for how to sign up online, please download our Online Sign Up Guide. If you are wanting to bring a group to volunteer, the process is different. Because of this, the process is fully outlined on the groups page, which can be found by clicking the “groups, businesses, and organizations” link below.
Community Service:
Habitat for Humanity defines community service as unpaid service (volunteer work) that is mandated to a person by an individual, institution, or court. We are happy to accommodate anyone that needs to complete community service hours. All volunteers completing community service must adhere to our Community Service Procedures as well as our Background Check Policy. Please review the procedures below before starting your community service hours.
Confirmation of Service Hours:
Do you need confirmation that you volunteered at Habitat for Humanity or completed community service? If so, please fill out a confirmation request form so that we can prepare a personalized letter for you. We ask that you request your confirmation at least 2 business days before you need it so we have enough time to search your records and prepare a letter.
Safety Videos:
If you have your first shift with Habitat scheduled, in the ReStore or at construction, here’s some safety procedures we want you to be familiar with beforehand.
