Tool Belts & Bow Ties:
$121,000 Raised at 2017 event – Thank You!
Thank you so much for your generous support of the 2017 Tool Belts & Bow Ties! With a record 530 guests in attendance, we raised $121,000 – the highest grossing fundraiser in Habitat for Humanity’s history! What a great way to celebrate Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO!
Because of your support, we can provide safe, affordable housing for more families and build better futures for children in our community. Thanks to all of you for taking time to attend, for bidding generously in the auctions, and for surpassing our ambitious Sponsor-a-Home Auction goal! Our mission wouldn’t work without each one of you.
Our signature event, Tool Belts & Bow Ties, brings together friends of Habitat with the goal of raising enough money in one night to fund the construction of a home for a local family. During the event guests enjoy a cocktail hour, plated dinner, our signature “Sponsor a Home” live and silent auctions, music and dancing. Honorary Chair 2017: Sam Hamra of Hamra Enterprises.

Nickita, dreamed of a way to build stability for her family. When she first applied for the Habitat for Humanity homebuing program, Nickita said “I need a Habitat home because I didn’t set out to be a single parent, but to be the very best parent I can be!” Now, thanks to last year’s Tool Belts and Bow Ties event, Nickita and her family moved into their home April 1, 2016.
