Habitat Home Run
Join us for the 9th annual Habitat Home Run, a 5k, 10k, and 1 mile fun run Saturday, August 26! Run through our fast, flat, and shady course on our new race route in Woodland Heights, then stick around for Springfield’s Largest Water Balloon Fight and after party activities!
The Habitat Home Run is proudly presented by Great American Title Company and American Eagle Insurance. All proceeds benefit Habitat’s Neighborhood Revitalization efforts in Woodland Heights & 40+ children’s charities of the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper.
Pick your distance at the Habitat Home Run with a 5k, 10k, and 1 mile fun run option. Start and finish at historic Lafayette Park (202 E. Atlantic) in the Woodland Heights Neighborhood. A fast, flat, and shady route that have been revitalized by Habitat’s construction team and volunteers; see charming features the Moon City Creative District, and more!

Online registration for the Habitat Home Run has closed. On site registration will open from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Lafayette Park – 202 E. Atlantic.

Your payment for registration will be paid to the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame via PayPal, our co-host of the Habitat Home Run. To pay in person by cash or check, please visit Habitat for Humanity ReStore at 2410 S. Scenic.
- 5k : $30 pre-registration; $35 race day
- 10k: $35 pre-registration; $40 race day
- One Mile Fun Run: $20 pre-registration; $25 race day (ages 5 and under free)
- Pre-Registration: July 1 – August 25, 2017
- Register before August 1st to receive a Home Run event tech shirt
Children under 5 may participate at no charge, but will not receive a shirt or bag. Participants with strollers and walkers should start at the back of the group. Race day registration begins at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26 at Lafayette Park.
Awards: Top 3 male and female participants in both 5k & 10k. No age division prizes.
After Party Details:
After the race, stick around for our after party and Springfield’s Largest Water Balloon Fight! We’ll have great refreshments from Hiland Diary, Ozarks Coca-Cola Dr. Pepper Bottling Company, and Price Cutter, entertainment and bounce houses, an awards ceremony, and everyone’s favorite, a water balloon fight with more than 5,000 water balloons!
Packet Pick Up:
Collect your race packet at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, and Friday, August 25. Your packet will include vendor goodie bags, an event tech T-shirt, race bib, and race day instructions. Packet pick up is also available on site from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Lafayette Park – 202 E. Atlantic.
Parking for race participants can be found in designated parking lots at Reed Academy, Woodland Heights Presbyterian, and at the Springfield Dream Center. Volunteers will be available to direct parking. Additional parking can be found along side streets. Review the Race Map to see designated lots.
