What's Next? Team Fundraising!

We are so excited to add to the Women Build tradition by adding the team option this year. We hope this allows individuals who want to make a difference to be recognized for their drive to help make housing more stable and affordable in Springfield.

Team fundraising can take on a lot of forms, aside from your own custom donation page that can be shared, we encourage teams to get creative: host a chili cook-off or bake sale, do a raffle or silent auction with your company’s product, host a golf tournament or trivia night, ask your customers to donate orround-up at the register, the list goes on and on. Team fundraising can begin now, and will end on February 28th.

What is the role of a Women Build Team?

Women Build teams fundraise for Women Build in Greene County. Team fundraising is essential to reaching our goal- which is enough to build a 6-bedroom home. Teams also help raise awareness of the critical need for affordable housing in our community.

What is the role of a Team Captain?

Team Captain(s) create and monitorthe team’s online fundraising page,recruit and encourage team members in theirfundraising efforts, and coordinate the team’s build site volunteer day.

What are some ways I can reach my fundraising goal?

Inter-office challenges, e-blasts, raffles, personalized merchandise, cocktail parties...there are many ways you can engage your team and other supporters to meet your fundraising goal. We even have a new car raffle that you can sell tickets for, and get credit for your team! Whether you host in-person or online, we encourage supporters to continue recruiting, educating, and inspiring women to become active participants in the solution for affordable housing.

I want to build a team! Where do I start?

Your Team Captain can create a team fundraising page following these steps.

Click: Create an Account Select ‘Basic’ as Type of Account
Complete Campaign Name, Goal, and Description of what your team hopes to achieve
Upload Logo/Image and an optional background image (Location section can be skipped, unless you are hosting a specific event as a fundraiser.)
Under ‘Options’ select 02/28/2024 as the expiration date
Submit - Team pages will be approved and uploaded by Habitat staff

You will be able to log into your account to monitor donations and make updates as needed. We are here to help you along the way! We can guide you through the steps to form your team and run a fun and fulfilling fundraising campaign. It’s a powerful way to foster community support for affordable housing, empower women, and work together to make a difference.
