Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, Missouri added two new staff members to its administrative team. Catherine Walker is the Strategic Partnerships Director and Evan Stober is the Community Outreach Manager.
Catherine plays an integral role at Habitat for Humanity Springfield as the Strategic Partnerships Director, managing corporate sponsorships, major donor cultivation, donor stewardship and major event planning. Catherine has an extensive background in nonprofit fundraising and has worked for both private and family foundations, notably the Heising-Simons Foundation and Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Catherine has a double major in Studio Art and Political Science with a concentration in Urban Development from Clark University. While she has lived in four states and three countries, Catherine remains a proud Springfield native.
As the Community Outreach Manager, Evan Stober is responsible for recruiting and coordinating volunteers for Habitat’s construction sites and identifying new service opportunities. Evan is a lifelong Springfield-area resident. He brings a degree from Missouri State University in Organizational Communication and a minor in Religious Studies to Habitat. His background is in sales for SpedTrack, a local special education software company and management for Westport Pool at the Greene County Park Board. He got married in May 2021 and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time in nature.
